When I create a post or page and put text (words) in the body it limits the number of words to 284.

The page I am trying to create should have over 600 words in the body but when I click save it cuts the words down to 284 every time.

Thanks, Mark

@Mark, what exactly is being cut off? Is it the description on the edit posts page?

Hey Chris,

Thanks for the easy instructions. I am having a different word limit problem with 3.0 in pages and posts.

I can insert as many words into a page or post when editing but when I click save it cuts off the number words at 284. I have spent hours trying to figure this out. Any ideas?

@Matt- You would need to add code to your template files to access these custom fields. Try using get_post_custom_values() in your template files to access the data. It would look something like this if you wanted to display "price":

<code><?php
 $customField = get_post_custom_values("price");
 if (isset($customField[0])) {
 echo $customField[0];
}?></code>

Check out this article to find out more about get_post_custom_values(): http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/get_post_custom_values

@David - I was not able to reproduce this error, but I did find other people having issues with it in other forums. Check out this forum and see if anyone else is encountering a similar problem: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/387355
